Influence of Vilon and Ventramine on cytokine levels in children with chronic gastroduodenitis

V.A. Scherbak, B.I. Kuznik, Yu.A. Vitkovsky State Medical Academy, Chita

30 children with chronic gastroduodenitis and 16 healthy children from 9 to 16 years of age were examined. The children were divided into 3 groups: the 1st group received only traditional treatment; the second was administered cytamine Ventramine in addition to the traditional therapy and the 3rd — thymo- mimetic Vilon. Before treatment, we noticed the significant increase of IL-1 p, IL-2, TNFa and IFNa serum levels though the concentration of IL-4 remained near normal. After the traditional therapy cytokine levels decreased slightly and insignificantly. Patients received Vilon and Ventramine demonstrated more fast improvement of clinical manifestations of the disease and significant decrease of proinflamma- tory cytokines levels.
