The influence of combined therapy on local immunity parameters in patients withparodontitisO.V. Belyaeva, N.N. KevorkovInstitute of Ecoogy and Genetics of Microorganis, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Perm

The aim of the study was to evaluate peculiarities of local immune status in patients with chronic gen eralized parodontitis. IgG , IgM and IgA levels as well as these of IFN gamma, IL- 4 and IL- 8 were evalu ated  in parodontal pocket  liquid. The obtained data  showed,  that  in patients with parodontitis  Th2 type of  local  immune response dominated. Combined therapy  including medicinal, physiotherapeutic,surgical and orthopedic treatment caused the improvement of the immune system status, the levels ofmost of the parameters became normal. However, no changes of IFN gamma level were observed afterthe complex treatment. That fact may suggest that the attenuation of pro inflammatory T cells responseis a significant event in the pathogenesis of parodontitis.Key words: immunoglobulines, cytokines, parodontal pocket liquid, chronic generalized parodontitis.
