Recombinant IL-2 (Roncoleukin) in treatment of chronic viral C hepatitis patients LPh.Sklyar, E.V. Markelova Vladivostok State Medical University
Efficacy of recombinant human IL-2preparation (Roncoleukin) was investigated in chronic viral C hepatitis (CVCH). Scores of clinical improvement and cytokines levels in blood samples and liver bioptateswere compared in patients treated with Roncoleukin and in controls. Considerable elevation of IL-1alpha, IL-4and TNF alpha levels with concomitant decrease in IFN gamma level were revealed in CVCHpatients’ sera and their liver tissue samples during exacerbation period. In comparison to controls, treatment by Roncoleukin normalized the cytokines’ levels. Clinical and laboratory indicatorsincludingbiochemical tests, also underwent quick reversal development in patients treated with Roncoleukin. Thus, immunologic findings prove the clinical and laboratory effectiveness of Roncoleukin treatmentin patients with CVCH.Key words: CVCH, Roncoleukin, recombinant IL-2,cytokines, immune system regulation.
