The purpose of the study was a complex estimation of cytokine spontaneous production in supernatants of cultured mononuclear cells of healthy Caucasians. Matching the level of cytokines in various groups was carried out and it was detected that INFy production by Th1 cells predominated IL-2 production by the same cells. The analysis of Th2 group cytokines detected predominance of IL-6 production among the other cytokines. It was also revealed in healthy people that IL-4 production exceeds the production of IL-13, another co-stimulator of pre-activated B cells proliferation. The comparison of concentrations of the growth factors showed that the intensity of G-CSF production was much higher, than the production of GM-CSF. The concentration of IL-8 was significantly higher than the concentration of another chemokines. The complex spontaneous cytokine production estimation revealed their significant dependency upon the age and gender. (Cytokines and Inflammation. 2005. Vol. 4, № 2. P. 33-37.)
