In passing it would be desirable to notice, that the book Exodus concerns and the Revelation book in the sense that without knowledge of the book Exodus it is impossible to solve some questions of Revelation. I here wish to remind of one of executions Egyptian which the Lord has caused during Exodus, i.e. about locusts. As is known, the Revelation book also speaks about locusts, Rev.9:1 - 11. Reading the description of a locusts in the Revelation, some modern experts declare, that it is a question of an ordinary locusts known for all, about invasion of the same insects which were and in days of Moses. Speaking it, they forget words of the book Exodus, 10:14 where it is written: « And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be SUCH ». So, invasion of usual locusts any more will not be. The same, that will be, looks so: its faces - as the faces of men, hair - as the hair of women, i.e. long, to shoulders. On their heads were the crowns similar to gold, and they had breastplates, as though the breastplates of iron, Rev.9:9. These breastplates are described in more details in 17th verse of the same 9th chapter: there the horsemen having on of the reservation fiery, hyacinthine and sulfuric are mentioned. Horsemen as is visible, similar to people, here only: fiery the breastplates at usual, terrestrial horsemen are not present. From here it is visible, that it is a question not of earthly troops. Horses of these horsemen also not earthly, as the heads of horses were as the heads of lions, Rev.9:17, besides out of mouth of horses issued fire and smoke and brimstone. It is not necessary to forget, that all this troops (or a locusts) left an abyss, Rev.9:2, 3 that is from a hell and represents, therefore, troops of the Satan. It is no wonder, that the angel of the abyss the Abaddon, Rev.9:11 supervises over this troops. At the sight of this army of the Satan the people will tremble, all faces shall gather blackness, Joel, 2:6. The man’s weapon against them is powerlessly, Joel, 2:8. The name "locusts" army of the enemy has received for the large number, Joel, 2:2; so, according to the Revelation book, their quantity is equal 200 million, Rev.9:16. So acquaintance to the book Exodus has helped us to learn one of mysteries of the book of Revelation.
On our travel on pages of the Bible we have stopped on last chapter of the book Exodus narrating about putting of tabernacle of the congregation. The following step in our table will carry us over to days of building already not tabernacle of Moses, but the temple of Solomon. For this purpose we will open the first book of the Kings, 6:1 and let’s read: « And it came to pass In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord ». Departing from Egypt as we already know, has occurred in 2640; 479 years and 2 months about which we have just read in the book of Kings (when they have passed after Departing), correspond to the beginning of 3120th year (2640 + 479 years and 2 months). Further in our calculations we will mean that till full year does not get 10 months. The beginning of 3120th year (or, that the same, the end of 3119th year) was fourth year of reign of Solomon, hence, the beginning of his reign was in the beginning of 3117th year after Adam. The temple of Solomon has started to be under construction in 3120th year and is ended in 7 years, 1Ki.6:38, that is in 3126th year (3119 + 7). Having started to reign in 3117th year, Solomon reigned 40 years, 1Ki.11:42, hence, his death has occurred in 3156th year (3117th year was first year of his reign, plus other 39 years). As Solomon reigned after the father the David, 1Ki.2:12, it is possible to learn and years of reign of David. Last year David's reign was the first year of reign of Solomon, i.e. the beginning of 3117th year. Actually last year David's reign was 3116th year. By this year was preceded 40 years of reign of David over Israel, 1Ki.2:11. It means that 3076th year was first year of reign of David.
Following steps of our table are that: after Solomon the son his Rehoboam, 1Ki.11:43 begin to reign. The king the Rehoboam has scorned opinion of aged men which advised him to meet the request of the people Israeli, to facilitate for them a heavy yoke and work, 1Ki.12: 4-8. But the people have not wanted to obey to the Rehoboam and were leaved him. He became to reign only over one knee. Over other Israel the Jeroboam, 1Ki.12:15 - 20 begin to reign. This division of a kingdom of Israel has occurred in a year of accession of the Rehoboam, i.e. in 3156th year. The Rehoboam reigned in Judea 17 years, 1Ki.14:21, i.e. last year of his reign was in 3172nd year (3156 years + other 16 years) then his son Abijam reigned in his stead, 1Ki.14:31. Abijam reigned 3 years, 1Ki.15:2. At more careful research it is visible, that he reigned 3 incomplete years. Practically he reigned only 2 full years, see 1Ki.15: 1 (and 9), hence, last year his reign was in 3174th year (3172 + 2) then his son Asa reigned in his stead, 1Ki.15:8. King Asa reigned 41 years, 1Ki.15:10, to 3215 year (3174 + 41). In 38th year of Asa when till the end of his reign there were as early as 4 years, in other part of Israel the well-known Ahab, the king of Israel, 1Ki.16:29 begin to reign. The Ahab reigned 22 years. The 3211th year (3215 - 4) was the first year of reign of Ahab, and 3233rd year (3211 + 22) was the last.
In days of the king of Ahab the prophet of Elias, 1Ki.17:1 prophesied. He prophesied also in days of Ahaziah, the son of Ahab, 2Ki.1:2. Elias has been lifted by the Lord in reign of Jehoram, in the beginning of his reign as at further reign of Jehoram Elis any more was not, 2Ki.3:6 - 11. That the Lord to want to lift to Elias in a whirlwind, it is told in 2Ki.2:1, right after death of Ahaziah and accession of Jehoram, that is in 2 years after death of Ahab, 1Ki.22:51. Last year of reign of Ahab was in 3233rd year, hence, Elias has been lifted in 2 years after that, in 3235th year. The beginning of prophesy of Elias - in the beginning of reign of Ahab, i.e. in 3211th year. In total prophet of Elias prophesied 24 years.
The prophet following after Elias the Elisha has started to prophesy in a year of ascension Elias, i.e. in 3235th year. King Jehoram, son of Ahab, reigned over Israel 12 years, 2Ki.3:1, to 3243rd year. He was hit by Jehu, 2Ki.9:24, who anointed to be the king instead of Jehoram, 2Ki.9:1 - 3, 13. In 7 years after accession of Jehu in other part of the Israeli kingdom, in Judea, began to reign Jehoash*, 2Ki.12:1. In 37th year of this king (i.e. of Jehoash), over Israel in Samaria other king, too by name of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz began to reign, 2Ki.13:9, 10 and reigned 16 years. After his death on his throne the Jeroboam, 2Ki.13:13 has sat down. Thus from accession of Jehu to accession of the Jeroboam of the Second there have passed 58 years (7 + 36 + 15). This Jeroboam carried the same name, as well as his predecessor, the king Israeli, that was living 150 years before him. Accession of the Jeroboam II is fells on 3301st year (3243 + 58). Shortly before accession of this Jeroboam, in days of his predecessor Joash, son of Jehoahaz, the king Israeli, the prophet the Elisha, 2Ki.13:14 has died. We will in passing notice, that the prophet the Elisha prophesied 66 years, from 3235th and almost to 3301st year.
The following chain, length in 106 years, is built from terms of reign of variety of kings, such as the Jeroboam, in the 27th year of which began to reign Azariah, 2Ki.15:1. Azariah reigned 52 years. In the Bible Azaria is mentioned and under name Uzziah, 2Chr.26:1. Azaria (he is also Uzziah) has been affected by a leprosy, because the Lord had smitten him as he has entered into temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense, 2Chr.26:16-21, 2Ki.15:5. At the end of the life of Azaria (in the 52nd year of his reign) began to reign Pekah over Israel in Samaria, 2Ki.15:27 in which second year (i.e. after one year of his reign) began to reign Jotham, 2Ki.15:32, and reigned 16 years. After death of Jotham began to reign his son, Ahaz, 2KI.15:38. After 11 years of reign of Ahaz (in 12th year of his reign), in other part of Israel began to reign Hoshea, 2Ki.17:1. At last, in the third year of Hoshea began to reign Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah, 2Ki.18:1 (that is practically it is necessary to take into account 2 more years).
In front of us have passed, not interrupting anywhere, terms of reign of five kings. In total these terms make 106 years (26 + 51 + 1 + 15 +11 + 2). Any interested person can find these numbers in the Bible and repeat a way of calculations together with us. Following Bible instructions, we managed to stretch a continuous thread of time from Adam to the beginning of reign of king Hezekiah, a thread 3407 years long (3301 + 106).
The note: *king Jehoash is mentioned in the Bible also by name Joash, as the name of “Joash”is shot form of name “Jehoash”.
