Following two sections are devoted a question on duration of ministering of the Lord Jesus Christ. To learn about duration of this ministering, we need to track all his way, since first day of ministering and to the last. The first, that would be desirable to notice, it that the Lord did not remain on one place, but went on all country, preaching and showing the glad tidings of the Kingdom God's. The gospel of St. Matthew informs us names of many settlements, cities and areas, where lived and preached the Christ. His earthly way has begun in Bethlehem Judaic, Mat.2:1, then when the Baby was 40 days, have brought him to Jerusalem, Luke.2:22, next day they already came back home. At average speed of the pedestrian and for 12 hours of daily walking, the day way makes about 30 miles. To reach home, it was necessary to pass distance of 85 miles, i.e. to be in a way not less than 2 days, arrival for 3rd day, Luke.2:44. At night which has followed day of the arrival, appearing in a dream an Angel has motivated to flight into Egypt, Mat.2:14. Following settlement was Galilee city of Nazareth where Jesus has lodged with parents after death of the Herod, Mat.2:23.
In the beginning of the ministering Jesus has gone from the city and has come to wilderness Judaic at Jordan. Then to be baptized from John the Baptist, Mat.3:13. After baptism and tempting in wilderness, Jesus has left to Galilee, Mat.4:12. Then, having left Nazareth has come and has lodged in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, Mat.4:13. From now on we see Jesus on coast of the Sea of Galilee, Mat.4:18. Since settlement time in Capernaum Jesus has started to preach approach of the Kingdom of God. He went across all Galilee, Mat.4:23 then have come back to Capernaum where lived Itself, Mat.8:5. After that we see Jesus in the house of Apostle Peter, Mat.8:14 where Jesus has healed his mother-in-law from a fever. Jesus did not remain long on one place. Having entered into a boat, It has gone on other coast of the Sea of Galilee, to the country Gergesenes, Mat.8:28 (and it is also the country Gadarenes, Mark.5:1) where has healed demon-possessed people. The flock of pigs thus was lost. But people of that country have not wanted to reconcile to loss of these pigs and have asked of Jesus to leave their country. Jesus has left them, but these people did not understand, what means to be left by the God. And it came to pass Gadara became the first city, the population and which neighboring villages have been completely exterminated by Vespasian. Commander Vespasian has been sent to Judea by the Roman emperor Nero in 66th year AD for revolt suppression in Galilee and Pereira. It was the beginning of so-called Judaic war.
Having left of Gadara at the desire of its inhabitants, Jesus was forwarded back to the city, i.e. to Capernaum, Mat.9:1. After that the Lord has elected 12 disciples, i.e. apostles and has passed to teach and preach in cities where there lived his disciples, Mat.11:1. In these cities the Lord has made many miracles and healings, but their inhabitants repented not. Reproaching them, the Lord says, that to the Tire and Sidon will be more pleasant in the Day of Judgment, rather than it. The same is told and about the Sodom land. The mention of DAY of JUDGMENT takes some modern ecclesiasts by surprise. Many of them preach own theories that «the judgment God's lasts always, lasts every day». So, any earthquake and any accident or incident, they declare as judgment God's. Meanwhile, if they knew the Scripture should tell the same as apostle Paul has told who learns: « Because he (God) has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained, whereof he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead », Acts.17:31. So, Day of Judgment will be in the future. This future Day of Judgment is not only for modern people, but also for inhabitants of the Sodom, the Tire and Sidon. These people once lived, but also they will rise, i.e. they will rise in judgment, and not only, but also the former inhabitants of Nineveh, the men of Nineveh, and also the queen of the South, Mat.12:41,42 and many other men. I think, that incident with inhabitants of Gadara, i.e. that they are exterminated, some of ecclesiasts could name « judgment God's », but has put here in other: having refused Jesus, they have lost the God's grace and his blessing. And consequently, when to them the misfortune has come, they could count only on own forces and on the graven images who, of course, have not helped them. Here it is useful to remind words of Jesus about 18 men upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them: « think you that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you Nay: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish », Luke.13:4.
“Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tire and Sidon”, we read further in Mat.15:21. Coasts of Magdala, Mat.15:39 were following point after coasts of Tire and Sidon. The Evangelist Mark results also other name of the same district: the parts of Dalmanutha, Mark.8:10. Further the Lord came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, Mat.16:13. Here there was one episode which is often presented by some ecclesiasts in the perverted form. It is a question of the answer of Jesus to Peter: « get thee behind me, Satan! », Mat.16:23. They claims, that Jesus named Peter a Satan, however in the Gospels in other languages in this place is written: « Get out of my way, Satan! ». That is, the Christ has ordered to the Satan leave away when he has approached and stood behind the Christ to be temptation to Son of God.
After ascension of Jesus on the Transfiguration mount, we again see him in Galilee, Mat.17:22, and then and in Capernaum, Mat.17:24. Following points of abiding of Jesus are that: the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan, Mat.19:1, further the city of Jericho where the Lord has told a parable about the Owner of the house who went out early in the morning to employ workers into his vineyard, Mat.20:1, 29. Jesus was in Jericho on a way to Jerusalem, Mat.20:17. Further, when already have absolutely come nearer to Jerusalem, there was Bethphage, Mat.21:1 and, at last, Jerusalem, Mat.21:10. At that time the Lord has said many parables, such as a parable about the householder and husbandmen, about the king who has made a marriage for the son, about faithful and wise servant, about ten Virgins, and also a parable about talents and it is a lot of lectures and prophecies about future times, up to The Coming (see Mat. 24th and 25th chapters). All it has been said for some days before the crucifixion, Mat.26:1. Gethsemane was last point before the crucifixion, Mat.26:36. In total we have listed here 25 points where Jesus has visited. Certainly them, it is much more these cities and settlements. It is necessary to tell, that the distance between all these points is known to us, for example, of the map which is available in the Bible. It is important when it is necessary to learn time spent for movement from one point in another, knowing average speed of the pedestrian.
